There are a lot of options for getting around Benidorm and all of them are convenient and cost-effective. One such way is using the many buses which run promptly every day. Below is a quick guide to getting around Benidorm by bus.
The main bus terminal in Benidorm is located about 3.56 km from the town centre, which is only an 11-minute drive. The bus station is fully equipped with everything you need to plan your journey. Inside the terminal, you can find ATMs, toilets, coffee bars and various fast-food outlets. There is a parking lot, mall, and supermarket as well as a waiting room.
The bus service is provided by the Llorente Bus Company which has around 20 routes which connect the different parts of Benidorm and its surrounding areas. Tickets can be purchased either in the main terminal or on the bus. The cost of the general ticket is €1.50, however, for tourists that will be using this option frequently throughout their stay, there are more economical options, for either 24 hours, 72 hours, or 7 days use.
If you fancy exploring other parts of the Costa Blanca, a season ticket is well worth considering. The options typically range between a 24-hour ticket and 30 days’ unlimited travel.
There are many popular bus routes in Benidorm, and you will have no trouble getting to your destination. A route map and timetable can be picked up from your hotel, apartment, or tourist information centre. The buses are very regular so don’t worry if you miss one as there will be another shortly after it.
Of course, Benidorm doesn’t just offer a public bus service, another way to use a bus in Benidorm is on a sightseeing tour of the city. This is a great way to get your bearings and discover where and how far away everything is from where you’re staying.
Benidorm has two scenic bus routes that will allow you to get to know the city inside and out, these are the Altea, Albir and Cala de Finestrat. These double-decker buses begin their journey from Rincón de L’oix and continue past Mediterranean Av until reaching its destination at Cala de Finestrat.
